You mean, even if someone has a tracking device, he should be able to choose between 4DoF and 6DoF? Maybe expanding the conf.ini entry:

UseTIR = 0,1,2 (off, 4DoF, 6DoF)
Not sure, if its possible, but will be considered if the time has come.
