i dont know from what heights you are starting your dives, but i have no proplems with the engine doing that at full throttle, full fine pitch on auto and cooler open.
anyway, this not beeing able to control the pitch like the other planes is a "Schnapsidee" IMHO.
but ok, il2 is gettting old
, and for a more "proper" enginemanagement we most propably have to wait for SoW/BoB/CoC (or however it will be called
