You're always gonna have a bit of fluff in any movie. Yes there are scenes that coulda been cut, but those scenes also show the human side of the war. These pilots (on both sides) had sweethearts and lives beyond being a bomber/fighter pilot. I love the combat scenes and the scenes on the ground with all the Spits/Hurricanes/109s and Heinkles, just awesome.
