I think the end result is that if you wish to post a critique, back it up with evidence and be polite.
I think that, so long as you are polite, your post can be as honest as you like. And by polite, I don't mean comparisons with children's drawings etc.
Is this fair?
In any case, it's best to pose your critique as a quesiton.
Instead of saying " Oleg, the terrain looks rubbish" ... "Oleg, are you still working on the terrain? Have a look here__it's a great photo from 1940 and shows the field patterns around Hawkinge quite well" is much better
