Thought I'd just try to spell out once again what I was trying to suggest in post 3 of this thread as it seems to have got lost in the talk of dedicated (sub) forums for SOW.
The idea is to create a weekly thread to run parallel to Oleg's update thread in this forum. This 'shadow' thread will hold ALL the tangential stuff that commonly arises and which seems to cause annoyance to some people.
Basically - Oleg's thread will be reserved for comments ONLY on the pics or video posted, or questions about same - and rigorously moderated.
Anyone wanting to widen the debate or focus on - say the minutae of trees, etc - will post in the shadow forum.
That's the idea. It's explained better in my original post.
