Need help for Total CMA, Paint.NET & GIMP
Is there a way to disable Total CMA from immediately starting up onto my desktop when I start my system? I only need it for extracting skins, and to have another window to shutdown is an annoyance.
I'm still trying to figure out how to get Paint.NET recognize the mipmaps. Whenever I open up one of 7.62's DDS files, I only get the option to view ONE image, but if it's a mipmap, there should be more. How can I use Paint.NET to see/modify these extra default images? From scouring Paint.NET's forums, it's clear that Paint.NET can save in the DDS format, but I can't nail down if it can open up a DDS file and have all of its mipmaps show. Maybe this is unnecessary? I mean, does saving it in DDS format AUTOMATICALLY create mipmaps based on the main texture that's being worked on, or...? Any detailed input and advice on this would be greatly appreciated!
GIMP. I started looking at that graphics program last night in the hopes that it had a clear means of working with mipmaps, but I did a keyword search of its entire forum for "mipmap" and I didn't get even a single thread. That seems like a pretty strong indicator to me that GIMP doesn't support opening/saving in the DDS format--am I correct on this, or do I need a special plugin, or...?
I want to do these skins correctly, but I need to be sure that I have the right program that's FREE.
Alright, thanks in advance!
