Swiss, hitting a shell case at speeds above 300km/h can make more damage than just a ping
If you drive a car at 80km/h and a small piece of rock hits your window or paint job there is usually some damage. And we talk about smaller pieces and less speed. So I would figure flying through a cloud of shell casings is not very desireable. But again modeling this..hmm..not adding anything to the sim.
