Well, I saw that in your KBTL high score run you chose warrior, and warrior is still the go-to class in KBAP if you want an easier time in tackling impossible difficulty.
I forgot to mention one primary difference that relates to a high-score run; unlike in KBTL where level 30 is the max, in KBAP you could reach level 60 or beyond (level 54-58 if you don't use Ancient Knowledge scrolls).
There are too many differences between the two games with regards to spells, items, class skills, enemies, units... you could scour the forums for juicy info that interest you.
I also noticed in your KBTL high score run that you didn't gun for no-loss, so cut-throat tactics is not warranted. It should be noted that going no-loss or minimal loss helps in speeding up your game; you don't run around going to shops to restock your troops. It would also be nice to build an army that is flexible (no need to change lineups much to tackle different enemies and situations) and self-sustaining ("Sacrifice"-friendly units so that whenever your leadership increases you could use Sacrifice to top up your stacks during battle).
