Apart from the heretic mission all the others can be freely gained without having to have paid the 5k for the info beforehand.
There is a cargo container in the bottom left corner of Prien. Shooting this spawns an ungodly number of MSF ships... haven't managed to survive that to loot the stash though I'm playing on hard this time round
