There's overclocking to instability which will cause problems with the most stable of drivers. But blaming these Ati issues on overclocking is just a red herring. I run both my CPU and my 4890 overclocked but stable and I have no problems with any drivers up until the November Catalysts. Or none that couldn't be relieved by adjusting the config file in IL-2. After that date I began to see the blocky text which is only eliminated by using the earlier atioglxx.dll. So overclocking is not a part of the issue.
