Will file a feedback form about 10.2's as well COastie. It seems performance is getting there, but I got a bigger boost with Vertex Arrays enabled. This of course brought the "blue hue". Blocky text is a bit odd, as it is partially affected by Effects-setting in conf.ini
If Effects=0 then blocky text would not clear, if 1 or 2 then clears.
But again, back to testing..
