Default NAT types???

ok so i discovered this internet connection setting that might have alot to do with the join errors and voice chat problems some of us are still experiencing after the patch: it is called the NAT Type.

For all the noobs like me outhere, here's what it does: its like a connection security setting that allows or denies info transmision between ppl depending on their connection type, like some kind of firewall. There are 3 NAT Types (1, 2 and 3):
-1 is used when ur PS3 is plugged direcly to the internet feed (right out of the wall)
- 2 is used when plugged through a rooter
- and 3 is the "strict" type that causes all of these troubles because it denies some info transfer or whatever

To know what ur nat type is, make a internet connection test on ur PS3 (settings - network settings - internet connection test) and ur NAT will b displayed.

So like I said i'm a complete noob when it comes to this stuff. My Nat type is 3 so i wanted to change it to 2 - googled it n all, saw some pretty neet tutorials on youtube (the guys could have been speaking japanese it wouldnt make any difference ) tho i'm pretty sure i could follow some basic steps, but i'm still stuck at step 1.... cant access my rooter page cause i dont have the user and password for it. Tried admin - admin, blank - admin ... still cant do it. I have windows vista so it kinda configured itself when i installed it.

Anyways i could sure use some help from u guys, and for those experiencing troubles with ur voice chat during games and join errors, this might b the cause of it. I thought this would b really useful since Edal's team tournament is starting shortly and communication will b vital.

Cheers guys

PS: btw my rooter i a D-Link
