I use a controller and used to think the same, only going realistic. But if you stick


with it it will become more natural. Looking around by pressing the right analogue is a pain as it's too easy to slam the rudder sideways or cut throttle by mistake, but is essential to do if you don't want to get cut down in Sim.
I look vertically up and over the canopy most of the time to try and keep a view on people which is not the best thing but using a controller it means I don't cut the throttle or unintentionally slam the rudder left or right whilst looking around.
