I've had the most success with the G2 (or the G-10) when I unlocked it. The guns aren't as good but it is FAST--and this is crucial. When he turns away, you turn slightly in the same direction (I mean *slightly*) and just keep on going. By the time he's turned around, you're out of the effective range of his guns. The g2 is also much more agile than the G6, so if you do have to turn, you can. With the Bf109, you want to do climbing turns to shed your airspeed (while storing it as altitude); it doesn't turn well over 200mph.
This being said, the K4 is also very fast and has devastating weapons, but it doesn't turn as well. I watched ChankyChank put it to good use this weekend--some of the most effective BnZ I've seen.
