As historical references show, the "Dora" while being slower in the rolling ability compared to its earlier versions ( Fw A series) it was superior in every other way, including of course, turning rate, climbing, etc etc... Most of these characteristics I find accurate in the game, however the turning ability I consider it to be a bit messed up, and I believe the Dora show offer a bit more control in turns than it currently does in game.

Personally, as a regular FW-190A-9 flier on-line I found D-9's were better on the turn than my A-9 or A-8 and I had to be careful when engaging them because of it. On those occasions where I took a D-9 up I found it quite capable of out-turning Antons ... I just had a hard time hitting them (or anything else, for that matter, LOL. I have always had gunnery problems in D-9's for some reason

).
I suspect you are not using your rudder correctly during turns. Try drilling by going up against an AI Ace in a Spit IXe in QMB and fight it on the turn. Pay attention to your rudder usage.
