X360 how to invite
When you're in the window, I see that you can push start to invite friends, and then individually pick friends out and ask them to join party/game, but I was under the impression that you could more or less send out a "bulk" invite to all of your friends playing the game?
How do you guys do invites? One at a time? |
Well, what you described is the usual option. What you also can do is to send an invite to all your XBOX Live party members at once, by pressing Back. But well, you'll still have to invite them to your party :-P. And I'm not sure, but I also think only the XBOX Live party 'leader' can do this.

Correct, start a party and get people in. Host the room and you have the option to hit the back button to invite your party. The host of the room must also be the host of the party of the option isn't there and you'll have to invite them individually.
Better yet, have them just join on you through their friends list so you don't have to do the whole thing yourself. They've got to go to the dash anyway to get your invite. Or they could just watch for your room to show up on the public room list. That way you aren't restricted to party comms and can talk to everyone on your team (if they actually talk). |
wait, there's a public room list? I thought you either started a game, or just got placed in one? Is there a place where you can see all the potential games?

In Player Match you can choose Custom match. Here you can pick your difficulty setting and game type and you'll see a list of available games... well, if there's enough games to make a list that is . Not sure why you can't select Any Game Mode in Custom Match, but well, we'll just have to live with that. This is not possible in Ranked Match btw, here you can only select quick match or create session.
