Serious issue with hit detector!!!!!!!!!!!

Following on from my thread the otherday

http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=9901

I've just finished hosting a few player matches and I'm starting to get really pissed off with this.

I was sat behind a JU-87 in my Spitfire MkIX and I unloaded until my cannons were dry. I think the other guy must have gone for a toilet break as he was flying straight and level.

Guess what, he didn't die!!!!

I was screaming at my Mrs to go and get the camera so I could record it and put it on youtube and then here, but she is too dam lazy and unhelpful. So you'll have to take my word for it.

Whats the deal with this? How are you supposed to play the game, if when you are raking straight and level planes with fire and they are invinicible????

Try not to smash any more gamepads...

Sorry, but I really think it is your internet or something:confused:

I've had no problems in any game, with the hit detection (only laggy ones). neither have I noticed any change in the hit detection since I have the game..

Also, none of my friends have noticed any bad thing about the hit detection, so is there any change it could be lag?(yes there can be lag even when you are host ;) )

i do think the JU87 is slightly over armoured!!

many accounts from BoB pilots who fought them say they were rather easy to shoot down, not taking many rounds to destroy (this is with .303, not cannons like on IL2) yet when you play against them online.. they do seem to take alot of hits and still keep flying.

I agree, it has nothing to do with hit decection, I think it's just that the Ju-87 is way over armored.

I played a Strike match the other day and it took me a long time to shoot a Ju-87 down, but I did do it eventually. Note however, that before and after destroying the Ju-87 I had some dogfights with Bf-109's and I destroyed them easily.

It sure is!, also the IL-series I think, really have to fill those up with lead, untill the go down because of overweight!

btw, I know this does not apply to the perfect spit, but take for example the A-20 bomber, when you fire its front cannons in virtual cockpit view, the bullets dont end up where you are aiming AT ALL. they end op almost at the top of your HUD (not kiddin). dont know if this one is the only one with that problem

EDIT: sorry ^^ its with the blenheim. try diving and shooting, the bullets dont go to the crosshair at all

That is definitely true.

It's possible your latency in game is really high, or you have packet loss, or both.

Or maybe the guy you were playing against had connection issues.

I don't know how gracefully BoP's netcode handles connection issues, hit detection, and client-side prediction.
