DLC plane wish list...

hi, new to the forum (i appologize if there is allready a thread for this purpose)

just curious regarding what planes everyone wants added as DLC. here are mine:

Bell P-39 Airacobra OR P-63 Kingcobra (pretty much the same). ok fighter but the soviets used them well for ground support.

Curtis P-40 Warhawk

Dornier 335 Pfiel (german for arrow): a pretty unique plane since it has an engine and propeller at the front AND back, so it's as fast as a 2-engine plane, but handles like a single-engine fighter.

Macchi 205 Veltro: better version of the Macchi 202

Mikoyan Mig-3

Gloster G.41 meteor: a british jet that was deployed 2 weeks BEFORE the me-262

feel free to add your own suggestions

ps. my name is my psn id

1) LANCASTER
2) P-51D
3) P-47 (I heard it was only on xbox if you pre-ordered)

Thats it...they all best be their too, for good reason they should be their!!!!!!

P-39 in IL2 was a pleasure to fly. Its got that great cockpit with the side opening door, just so uniquely cool.
Its flight model was very...'twitchy' at first, but with experience flying it, it was a very manueverable little machine at low to mid alts. The quick roll rate surprised me! Perhaps it was a result of the mid-engined design.
What a thrilling ride-takes some getting used to though-she will spin-out easily until you get her unique feel. Unlike any front engined plane.
The mix of 3 different calibres makes gunnery a bit odd, again takes practice-not a beginners plane by any means, but very rewarding to suceed with her.
Id love a P-38 too, .she loves to fight in the vert.
But Ive never flown the IL2 version of her flight model.
Any fly herin IL2 ? Comments?

the mosquito and p38 are the only planes that are really great for DLC

The aircobra is garbage

+1 for the Mosquito and Lightning

Disagree about the aircobra though. It's is good for it's novelty factor and should be included as a P-39N in the Italian Airforce. The Do-335 Pfeil would be fun to fly too for its weirdness.

My other choses would be:

Hawker Tempest
De Haviland Hornet
Avro Lancaster
Gloster Meteor
P-80A Shooting Star

Where Do I Start? Just with "common" (no obscure prototypes or planes that didn't reach combat) planes for the campaigns already present in the game...

Allied:

Hawker Typhoon
Hawker Tempest
P-38 Lightning
DH98 Mosquito
Bristol Beaufighter
Westland Whirlwind
B-25 Mitchell
Boulton Paul Defiant
Avro Lancaster
Gloster Meteor

Soviet:
Petlyakov Pe-8
Tupolev Tu-2
MiG-3

Axis:
MC 205 Veltro
Fiat G.55 Centauro
Reggiane Re.2005 Sagittario
Me 410 Hornisse
Ju 88
SM79 Sparviero

...

I could continue all night!

I thought about putting the Defiant in my list, but in the game I think it would almost useless online. It wasn't heavily armoured like a stuka so you'd be shot down instantly if you tried using the guns on a pursuing fighter but as it had no other weapons you can do nothing else. All it was good for was shooting at bombers from infront, hidden from the nose gunners by the night. And the weight and drag of the turret made it handle like a pig.
