Mode 1 / Mode 2 controls

Probably the biggest audience for this game is the radio control aircraft hobbyists who also own consoles.
For those who don’t know, rc aircraft transmitters are just fancy dual analogue controllers.

The developers have chosen to alienate 90% of them by applying mode 1 controls (throttle rudder right).
Unless you are over 60 years old you would not fly mode 1.
90%+ of flyers internationally including Europe US and Japan all prefer and chose mode 2 transmitters. This has now almost become the international standard. Which means throttle and rudder on LEFT stick and aileron and elevator on the RIGHT.

anyway besides , what sort of developer doesn’t implement at least basic customised controls. in this case allow you to swap the sticks,
how dam lazy is that, how careless, how selfish...

but it is stupid as soon as people play the demo and realise that the controls are NOT STANDARD to begin with and then NOT CUSTOMISABLE
then they just turn off.

even if you fix it in the full game or through an update, you have lost so many sales on something so simple to fix.

I am not a developer but I sure could do a better job on that. come on guys basics get the basics right.

the title update comes with customiseable controls... all you need to know I think ;)

EDIT:even if you fix it in the full game or through an update, you have lost so many sales on something so simple to fix.
^^ missed that part...

anyways... it least it gets fixed... and if word spreads... the RC guys will come back ;)

I disagree about the idea that the biggest audience is RC hobbyists....

Most console games don't come with customizable controls, so be glad they even add it in the next update.

Take PC for full customization

I'm one of those RC people that they lost at first. I just couldn't get my brain to switch the sticks since I fly almost daily. Drove me mad, as I reaaaaally wanted to like the game. I gave up on it with the demo, but then found the AV8R and read that things were 'correct' when using a stick (deadzone aside, a seperate complaint) so I happily bought both a stick and the game. My brother skipped this title for about the same reason (it was just backwards from the games he knew and couldn't adapt easily either), now I'm trying to get him back on board when the update comes out.

Like someone mentioned earlier, if you fly RC its the equivilant of turning on or off look inversion then telling the player to adapt. Its so ingrained in your brain you just can't, especially for minute corrections on targeting.

Get a flight stick. Problem solved and a better experience to boot.

Ok maybe I exagerated on the 90%

but had just payed the demo and was

Any date for this patch? Any details on the content? I have cash waiting if we can swap the sticks over.
