Multiplayer woes

Oh man. Wow.

Single-player, a ton of fun. Really enjoyable. A bit ridiculous at some points, even in sim mode, but always fun.

Multiplayer is a whole different story.

1) Nobody's playing. ESPECIALLY sim mode. But I understand that's not the devs' fault. So...come on, guys, let's get in there!

2) The plane characteristics are totally haywire. Completely unbalanced. 109s get put into spins and die with the TINIEST burst. The I-16 is somehow a super plane. I don't see how a plane introduced in the mid-30s can outclimb, outrun, and outgun end-war Yaks, 109s, 190s, Spitfires, all that. To me, coming from the PC, almost every characteristic seemed off.

3) I know it's coming and I know even myself, I've said it before, the German cockpits are needed. Not even for "immersion", but just as a gameplay device. If someone wanted to set up a sim room, everyone who plays Axis uses the virtual cockpits, then they have a decent advantage over the people in real cockpits. You should be able to have cockpits locked, and therefore create and even playing field, and therefore need those cockpits. But, they're coming. I'm just saying it, I know.

I guess those are the major things I noticed. Am I alone in this?

4) It also seems like kills are credited incorrectly. Crashing doesn't count, etc.

5) The game browsing is difficult. Why can't there be a function to browse all games? Then you just choose which one you want to go into? Also, when a match ends, there goes all the players. Why can't it be like COD4 for example? Where there is more or less a game lobby that people join and leave? What's with all the added steps to induce headaches?

Also, a side note: Has anyone noticed a weird thing with the Ace Edge that it has this weird dead zone where it suddenly "clicks" into engaging? It makes fine-tuning when aiming pretty challenging. Is this the stick or the game?

I haven't had any problems at all with my Ace edge. But you hit the nail on the head with "You should be able to have cockpits locked, and therefore create and even playing field, and therefore need those cockpits. But, they're coming. I'm just saying it, I know. "

This is my biggest cpmplaint right now.

Its suicide to not use the Virtual cockpit, when playing online sim, There really needs to be away to lock this.
Good post, DESODE
