The JU-87
Hi there,
Considering the high number of aviation buffs in this forum I think it's the best place to get some clarification about the Ju-87. I got a question about the 'Jericho Trumpets'. Is it true that the first version did not have an extra siren installed and that another part of the aircraft produced a siren like sound? If yes, which part was that? The airbrakes? Cheers, HL |
You are right, the siren was limted to the B series had a small proppler that made the sound while diving but later on (at about B3 / B4 series) the germans found that the enemy had gotten used to it so they removed it. And made a smaller one that where on the bombs it self.

Does the JU-87 have the siren sound in the game? I really wish there was more use for this plane in the game, as it has always been one of my favorites....

They should add the dive siren to the Stuka in the game. I see that they have added a 90 degree dive indicator ( a grey circle that appears on the ground, not the bomb aiming reticle, you put the bomb aiming reticle in it for a proper diving attack). I was a bit disappointed when I did my first dive bombing in the Stuka and it never made that iconic noise.
