Strike aka paid holiday for sitting twiddling your thumbs all day.

They really aren't doing themselves any favours with the public, their service is already crappy and now they decide to strike every 6 months.

:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Who else is affected by their incompetence at this time when alot of people can't get work?

I've been caught out before cos of it and wasn't best pleased.

There seems to be a fair bit of surprise around the forum at this turn of events. I didn't order BOP online because of the strike. Thought it was pretty common knowledge??

I never knew about it until Thursday, and my copy was dispatched on Wed.

Just my bloody luck, I wouldn't really care if it wasn't a game that I have been waiting for all bloody year.

If I get home and it hasn't been delivered I'm going to go buy it from Tesco and send the other copy back!

I now how you feel. I was so hyped up for COD4 and that got held up/lost by RM and the same this happened with Forza 2. They were both games I was dying to play.

As a result I don't order any of my 'must haves' online anymore.

Hold out some hope though mate. If it was sent on Wednesday chances are it's most of the way to you. The strike was only 24hrs. May come tomorrow!

For the record they don't get paid a penny for going on strike. So easy for people like you to slate Royal mail staff for striking when you don't have a clue about it. Your right a lot of people can't get work so I guess that means posties should be gratefull and let managers take the Piss out of them non stop. Would you work overtime and not get paid for it even though your told to? If so then more fool you. It's good to see workers take a stand for what's right and fair. As I postie myself I don't liike going on strike as I lose pay and have bills/ mortgage etc to pay. I also don't like having the piss taken out of me when I go to work. I would also like a decent pension when I retire but I guess according to people like you that's too much to ask for.

Postal workers need to get out into the real world not that union led little world you live in which has led you into this mess. Anyone who reads the news will have read of the work practices going on in sorting offices up and down the country where staff who complete their tasks and have nothing to do will sit around idle and refuse to help other departments or if they do they expect overtime for it while they are still working their actual contracted hours! thats just one of many so called 'spanish practices' that has brought the Royal Mail to near collapse. I'd be happy to choose my own postal provider just as I do with my electricity or gas and let the Royal Mail compete on service. This is 2009 not 1970, open your eyes and see your union chiefs living the good life off your backs while their actions slowly help destroy the mail service.
