I never played it on pc(been a playstation fan all of my life), but it doesn't seem fair that the psp and ds get it, and the pc faithful don't get it.

PC is getting Storm of War. That will be the the WW2 flight sim which all others will be compared.

The DS and PSP versions don't really count anyway since they are 2D.

No, the DS and PSP versions are both 3D. See the screenshots at the game's page on 1C's site: http://www.1cpublishing.eu/game/il-2...f-prey/gallery

No. DS is 3d. Look at http://dipinteractive.com/?p=338 (IGN video + IGN preview by Mark Bozon).

This game is built on a completely different game engine to Il2 1946, so nice as the thought sounds it can't just be released as`a graphical update for the PC series. Of course, it would be quite possible to port this game to the PC, but with Storm of War on the horizon I don't think Oleg Maddox wants in-house competition for sales, and this game would detract from the huge step up Storm of War is going to be.

checkout olegs stuff on www.simhq.com

I think I might have to start saving for a full on PC simulator set up...the detail is just unbelieveable...just absolutley amazing...

I hadn't seen the Oleg Discusses What's Next interview, so thanks for that link. I'm just glad my existing PC will be able to run it, I have a Quad Core processor with 4GB of ram and a GeForce 9500GT 1024mb graphics card, and since Oleg has said a PC which can run Il2 1946 on maxed out graphics settings will be able to run Storm of War on low to medium settings I shouldn't have to upgrade just to run it. Running it on high would probably need an upgrade though, but I made sure I could do that when I brought the computer.

IL2 Birds of Prey is not going to the PC since it will get Storm of War.
