Controls are Jerky?

After watching videos of demo gameplay, I couldn't help but notice that the planes looked really jerky. The movements weren't smoothed out. Has anyone had these problems?

Depends on a few things.

In sim mode you will see somwhat jerky flying, because that's exactly what it is. You are fighting prop rotation as well as turbulence.

There is also a deadzone issue with flight sticks. Trying to subtly align your sites on an enemy is a little bit jerky because of that.

I haven't played yet, but I'm assuming the videos I see are gameplay from Xbox 360 controllers.

And this is what will bring a lot of new customers to IL-2. Had a few friends at home when I was playing and one of them is really not a big fan of computer games. But he watched and got fascinated by the graphics. I let him try on arcade mode and I was hardly able to get the stick back an hour later

So nobody's had any problems? I guess when I get the game I can fiddle with the control settings, or get an Ace Edge.

The controls are a bit jerky but I assume that is because that's how the planes were. These aren't fly by wire F16's. They jerk when you turn, jerk when you fire, jerk when you get hit. It's a jerk fest!!!

That was great.

I felt that issue to be honest, it felt like the deadzone was way too big on the 360 troller. I put the sensitivity down to only 3 or 4 bars and a bit more for the elevators and it smoothed it somewhat, but its still there.
