Flight Controls

Could you guys PLEASE let us have more customization options when it comes to button assignments?

The only way I personally would change the control scheme would be to copy the way they did it in Crimson Skies High Road to Revenge on the original Xbox.

The left thumbstick controlled pitch and yaw, while the right thumbstick was roll and something else, it wasn't throttle, but you could easily just allow this scheme.

I played the demo and the having the left thumbstick act like a tiny joystick just doesn't work for some people, when you're trying to line up a target it gets all wonky and wobbles all over the place.

Please consider my suggestion, not enough console games allow for controller customization.
