this game is brutal

Tiger Hunt-
I have a really hard time on that mission, and I have the Aviator (i'm better without actually)
I've taken out a few FW190 and some tanks, but it feels random and I've no real controll on the situation.

this is also the most visually intense game I've ever played. In Sim, without the hud, spotting the targets is ultra hard.
I've been on the tail of those FW190 many times only to loose him in the haze or against the ground. hehe take your eyes of him for a split second and he vanish
(yes I have a 24" HD monitor)

awesome stuff tho

anyone still worried the game is 'dumbed' down ? :-)

OMG "Tiger Hunt' kicked my ass on realistic/sim.

Low altitude, spinning out (keep in mind I never played the original IL-2, so the flight model takes getting used to); the craters and debris were piling up, and not from any German vehicles.

The depth of the game is very obvious; i'm very excited for the full game.

That mission was in fact very hard on Simulator difficulty. However, I did feel like a real pilot by finding the tanks and batteries by looking for thier muzzle flashes.:)

But after a while they became harder to find and when I would find them, I'd get over excited and stall(flak didn't make it that much easier) and then after I recover, I lost 'em!

But I LOVE the challenge.;)

I agree I love games that are a challenge.

At this point I'm really racking up some hours in this demo. I have probably 6hours in it now if not more. I don't think I have ever played a SP demo this much.

Lol same here. I spent all day playing this, I cleaned up every red dot in tiger hunt on sim. 72 minutes. My gosh I'm gonna be a full time fighter pilot after the release.

hahaha, yeah same for me ! I was at work yesterday but when I sit back at home and switch on my xbox I didn't stop until go sleeping. 4 hours of intense game and, as you guys, trying to find the heavy gun in the snow of Ardrenne is really a challenge :) that was just amazing ! you strike one time, 2 times and then there is so much smoke that the only way to spot your enemy is to see the flash of them ! SOOOOOO GREAT !!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::g rin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
I can't wait to play on-line with all of you
But if I want to have a little chance to fly more than 5 seconds, I should buy a flight stick first I think so ;)
