Removing king's bounty logo from main menu screen
 

How can I remove king's bounty logo from the main menu screen? It looks bad with my custom background.

If it's not in any of the archives, it's in one of the tex#.dds files.

Well, it's not in textures.kfs or interface_textures.kfs. I found king's bounty logo in loc_data.kfs but it's not the one from the main screen...

Good, now go and check the DDS files (you can open with photoshop) and report back if you don't find anything there either. :-P

I have found dds files in textures.kfs, data.kfs and sky.kfs and it's not there. Are you sure it's just a simple image file? The glow on the letters is animated so maybe it's a gif or animation of some kind?

Hrm, if it's animated there's a chance that it's actually a video clip (bink video file) that's embedded in the interface. Check the interface files (UI) to see if there's a referrence, otherwise it might be hardcoded, in which case you're out of luck. I don't think there's any animated GIFs anywhere in the game...

How to open those UI files?

UI files are just standard text files, I think.

Too much stuff in those files that I don't understand so I'll just have to live with that logo :/ Thanks for all your help mate:)

You need to remove two files from Video directory

"kb-startlogo_alpha.bik"
"kb-startlogo-add.bik" (those two i belive)

and modify the file

"Start_KBlogo_eng.png" from loc_data directory
