Tree of life Quest bug
 

Hi everyone,

So I'm stuck with this quest where you need to kill all 8 orc troups inside the tree of life.
The quest log doesn't update when I kill them... And of course nothing happens when all of them are dead, I simply can't complete this quest.

I tried old savegames, starting the whole Elven islands chapter again but still have this bug. I also tried dropping all of my items before doing the quest and entering the tree but in vain.

Any idea to help me ? Will I be able to finish the game without this quest ?


PS : I'm playing in normal mode with the 1.7 version from steam.

Okay I have my answer now. I just went to Karador and killed him but nothing happens... Quest log doesn't update and I can still pick up a fight with him (but the battlefield is empty and I win instantly).

I guess my game is completely broken now and I'll have to wait for the next patch.

I wish I had bought a retail version instead of the steam one so I could revert to the 1.6 version... :-|

I get no update of tree quest when I kill the orcs. It would be nice to see an official reply here. I am steam v1.7.

In the end I managed to go past that bug :

Kill all the orcs and leave the tree, save your game, reload it and talk to the tree.

Hope this will work for you too.
