Can Princess Neoka have children
 

I read in a faq that she was bugged with having kids. I was just about to start her, ... um, .. *baby factory?* .. going and didn't want to destroy my save game if she's... um.. bug barren?.

Well, unless you're lucky with good children (like +20% attack, +30% Mana, +20% Mana, +20% Rage, +20% Intellect, +10% Leadership, +5% Leadership, +5 Intellect) - preferably the better 4 of those 8 - items will do way better than babies :)

Generally, Neoka is one of the wives that can have one of the best children, but unless you manage to get the best out of her - like +30% mana, +20% mana, +5 intellect/+20% Intellect (depending on your overall intellect) and +20% rage, for example.

Some Children also give xp bonus that can be nice in impossible mode alas only few chance it happens. Until later in the game you haven't yet collect so many good items and then Children can be nice alas the random factor can be ugly.

Also Leadership and int bonus can be nice too, I don't remember any item giving % bonus for int and leadership.

In my last game I get something like +10% xp, +10 rage, +10% and +20% mana with the zombie wife soon in the game. During dwarf area I switch to wife frog and attempt Children at beginning of Elf Islands... after getting a poor +4 scrolls, I load back and gave up trying Children. :-)

You can match children to wives here and get a general idea what to expect :)

I have god awful items in regalia atm, even the bad kids are better than the items I'm putting in there. ie +100 leadership.

Anyways, I'll prob dump her for the demoness wife, and fill her up with good artifacts when I actually have good artifacts.

So I can save the artifact slot (no. 4)? or do they fill out slots randomly ?

I think it's random. In most my playthroughs most of the time the 1st child I get occupies my 4th slot first.

I wouldn't mind random babies, if only none of them were crap, and if they were generally improved, so that with a baby you get a very good bonus, much better than the average artifact, since you're stuck with a baby.
