A little help?
 

I purchased an LG 23" wide screen today, loaded the drivers and.......:(
IL2 now displays in 4:3 or in a box format. My config is set to 1280x960x32 but it won't go wide screen. My new monitors recommended resolution is 1920x1080. I previously had a 19" wide screen with no problems whatsoever.

Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

Change your config.ini 1280X960 IS 4:3 aspect ratio. You need to set for a wide screen aspect ratio... that's either 16:9 or 16:10.

Try setting config at 1920X1200. That works for me.



If you have VISTA, install IL2 anywhere other than in the Program Files folder.

When I set the config.ini to 1920x1200, the game won't even start.

With due respect to the others in this thread, I'll throw in my 2 cents.

First of all, your monitor's native resolution is 1920x1080. Not only should that be the first resolution you try, it will be your best resolution as far graphics quality in your game. This is because LCD's are not as scale-friendly as CRT monitors.
