Screen flickers when crossfire enabled

The screen flicker when Crossfire enabled. Disabling Crossfire solves problem, but is there any solution to play the game and keep Crossfire enabled?

OS: Vista 64bit
Driver: Catalyst 9.4 and 9.5beta
CPU: i7 920
GFX: 2x HD4890

Now there is no such solution. Maybe it will be fixed in the upcoming patch.

There is a new patch coming? When will it be ready? days, weeks, months?

Upcoming patch means: a newer patch than 1.7 right?

I hope so, at least it appears to have been recognized as a problem :)

Well they should also fix the major DEP crash issue in Windows Vista.

Any known fixes yet

For anyone seeing this problem, here is the the solution just for the record:

Disable Catalyst AI. It appears the driver optimizations do not work properly in Crossfire on certain setups. I did not notice any significant performance loss in doing so either. Disabling this also solved some texture flickering issues I had seen in Fallout 3 and Crysis too.
