Direct2Drive and Activation Key?
 

I just purchased and dowloaded and installed the game from Direct2Drive, and when I click on the icon, I get the Product Activation window.

In the window, the first box says:

First enter your Activation Code:

Then there is a box

Then it says Automatic activation (requires internet connection)
Then it has a click box, Activate Online.

Since, Direct2Drive gives no activation code for this game, I enter nothing and click Activate Online. I then get a message: Activation FAILED: server error - wrong/invalid serial

Then there is a Manual activation window.

There is box Unlock Request Code:

then there is a code in there

Then it says Enter your Unlock Code:

and a box

I don't have one, so I just click Activate Manual and it says I need to enter a code. So, I copy and paste the code in the box above, and click it, then it tells me it's invalid. I even try and paste that key in the other box, still invalid.

When I cancel activation, it tells me there is no CD/DVD in the drive (yea, I downloaded it...)

What am I supposed to do at this point? I can't believe I am the only person having this issue.

I think you should contact the D2D support, only they can help you with this issue.

I had the same problem. With the activation screen up, log into D2D. Go to my Account,Games. next to KB there is a code. Copy and paste it onto the online activation box. Stay logged into D2D. It should activate. If it dosent, go to support and select Activation Help. Somewhere in there is the means to contact Support. (A menu type form) They will get back to and help you. Hope this helps. I had the same issue and using the code in my D2D account did not activate :(

the error I get is: "server error: application not found"
