Jealous wives
 

Hello there,

After reading the forums, I got the impression that the Kraken combat is only initiated after asking Mirabella into wedlock. In my current (and first) game, I'm quite happily married to the frog-lady. So I wonder, if I casually ask for Mirabella's hand, will my current wife become jealous and throw a tantrum? I would fancy fighting the Kraken, yet would dislike losing my current wife over it.

To summarise: Is my assumption correct that asking for a wedding with Mirabella is the only way to the Kraken? And if so, can it be done without risk of losing the current misses?

Yes and Yes. You have to tell Mirabella that you want to marry her in order to fight the Kraken, and yes, your current wife won't care. It will only get nasty if, after killing the Kraken, you take Mirabella as your wife (you DO have the option of saying "no" to Mirabella even after killing the Kraken)
