an interesting Intel white paper
You guys are probably already familiar with this white paper by Intel. The paper seems to show gamers some love, if only in the form of the yet-to-be-released Larrabee processor. I was thinking of Sow_BoB when I read it. Yet another different socket, even form the i7 series, but maybe worth the wait. See what you think: http://download.intel.com/technology...abee_paper.pdf
Flyby out ps the Larrabee processor is an i5 versus the now more familiar i7, and so requires a different socket, and it does not use tri-channel memory, but it may be closer to what is needed to get good results from BoB, and at a lower cost too. |
I see this as Intel's answer to the nVidia+Physx / AMD+Havok partnerships.
Should be interesting. |
