BSOD - on Asus 4850-TOP
 

Hello,

I have a problem, on my pc which has an asus ati 4850-top video card.

I got a 75% chanse on entering and leaving the game of getting BSOD (blue screen of death), once i'm in the game it works just fine ,but when leave game, i see some error codes on blue screen for a fraction of second then the pc restarts.

I got latest video drivers, i play GTA4 with no problem, why em i getting this on your game?? i also have latest game patch

please help.

BSOD -> sounds like XP -> run your "manage" / "logs" log and check for all HALT (! - exmplamation in red triangle or so) notes... if there is anything about soft or hardware problem - if it is soft problem, check for viruses, if hardware problem -> check for your heat pipes/ vents, remove dust from CPU/ Video card cooling systems... if no go, try old good reinstall OS ... I try to kick my PC thrice (magic works, especially on xmass) but this is not official advise

Yea its win xp, i dont have any log there, and im telling you again it cant be a hardware problem because it triggers only on exit game and when i get in the game. As for the virus thing ill check, but i doubt it.



LATER EDIT: I think it was from my cpu software (EPU-6 Engine) i had it on auto, when is on normal the game runs flawless.
