Swamp Issues
 

I'd just gotten to the Free Islands, and discovered that it was a bit harder than I expected. So I headed back to finish off the Marshan Swamps. Unfortunately, I can not enter the swamps, no matter what I do. The game crashes after the load without fail. I've gone back as far as I can in my saved games, but none of them will let me enter the Swamp. I can enter it if I start a new game, which leads me to believe that I somehow screwed up the swamp.

It's incredibly frustrating.


Update. Apparently the Old Royal Castle is corrupted too. Sweet.

Stop screwing up the swamp, or I'm calling the EPA. Remember, we all have to use that swamp.

I got swamp fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell...

Classic! Although, I have doubts that CreepingTerror is anywhere close to being as amused as we are (lol).

Well we don't want CreepingTerror to not be amused.

You know, there are days when nothing seems to go right. That's when you just need to turn and look at the camera and say, "what a pisser", crack open a beer and lay down some cow bell.



Hope you were able to get it all ironed out, CreepingTerror; although, my guess is that you were forced to start a new game.

I had the same problem, but with Arlania when I got back from the Isles of Freedom. Obviously makes the game impossible to complete... any solution? Or do I just have to start over?

Note: When I try to teleport into Arlania in Dev mode, it gets much further than when I just walk -- it even begins to load the graphics for the area -- but then gives me a specific error message: "Can't use 'Atom' function set." Does that help?
