Question about the Giant turtle
 

I kinda ran into the giant turtle at lvl 6. prolly way out of my league, but I also noticed that after the turtle was there I couldn't do anything, I couldn't move my units or cast spells. I saw the turtle, saw the healthbar, is there something I have to do first, or am I doing something wrong?

Ok just ran up to him and then it appeared before the entire conversation with the orc. I defeated him and am now bound to him by blood.
