Beacons navigation problem
Hi,
I have problem with beacon navigation.. I'm in 4.12.2 version. When i play "BlindLandingB25" beacon YG work perfectly but when I launch another mission that I prepared myself, it doesn'twork. Yet I have chosen the same parameters as in the example mission. The same for the carrier.. Impossible to use... I don't understand why nothing works properly. If you can help.. Thx. |
Are you using a B25? Not all aircraft can receive that type of beacon. Axis aircraft can't, and I'm not sure if all allied aircraft can either.
EDIT: Some quick testing shows it also matters what country your player aircraft is set to. All American armies and the RAF can tune them, but the USSR for example can't. |
Yes i use B25 ... and the same country as in the example.

I did some tests:
IL2 4.07 and install 4.12.2 megapatch : beacons ye/yg works but some cockpit don't work (c47 for example), this is normal ?? IL2 4.07 and install 4.12.2 megapatch + Ultrapack 3.0 rc4, beacons don't works... IL2 4.07 and install 4.08,4.09,4.10,4.10.1 : beacons ye/yg don't works. In all cases, YE/YG beacons don't works. The only one that works is 4.12.2 I think there are a big compatibilities problems... |
UP and other Mod packs don't always work well one some of these features... for example, flying the C-47 is something you can only do in a MOD so I'm not sure if the makers of that project would have paid attention to the navigation systems...
Perhaps there are other problems with the mod packs. I know some of the guys on our server have had more success with the SAS packs as far as retail feature compatibility goes. |
The C47 has no cockpit so we can't flight with it but he is available in 4.12.2... :S
And the main question is, why with different versions of IL2 without MOD.. beacons YE/YG don't works when i create my own mission.. |
