IL-2 lag
Hi guys, my il-2 lags. I do not understand what it is, i upgraded to version 4.12, later in the game and after 2 minutes i have low frame rate and i can not play, do not have any mod and no other programs open, no antivirus no wi-fi etc...only IL-2 1946. I use a laptop, but but had not given me any problems until a few days ago.
My computer: Intel core 2 duo, 2,26 ghz - 8GB ram - Nvidia GEforce 9400M. My log file: Code:
[Nov 25, 2013 10:59:59 PM] ------------ BEGIN log session ------------- Code:
[il2] |
Dunno whether it's the same as mine, but alt-tab out of the game, or use the windows key to get out, or scroll through enemy units, or do all of them after each other, then return to the game, and your fps will be OK again.

TNX, I tried but does not work. I always few fps

Overheating maybe.. blocked (full of dust/fluff) ventilation grills on the cooler fans and CPU/GPU heatsinks, causing the CPU/GPU to slow down.
I give my PCs and laptops a thorough (strip) dusting every 6 months... you won't believe the shyt (and my place is 'clean') that collects on the cooling fans. My one PC's very sensitive to heat.. and the fan suddenly screams when it gets hot - then I know it's cleaning time. ;) |
Tony, are you sure the lag is really connected to the patch? I mean, other games/applications work as before? That is, are you sure the performance drop is Il-2 specific?

hi guys. I discovered the problem. For some strange reason IL-2 not work in winter when the pc is fresh, only works if you turn the fan, but in winter the fans do not turn because the pc is already pretty cool. So i resolved downloading a program to change the fan rpm and now if i set the fans to min-3.500rpm max-6000rpm IL-2 works fine.

What, are you on a reindeer-hunt near Ft. Yukon? :grin:
|
ahaha...no, I live in Sardinia, Italy and there is a pretty good climate, but i use a macbook pro aluminum which is always very fresh. The fans run just as well in summer but for some strange reason if the fans do not turn IL-2 has low frame rate.

In section [Render_OpenGL], change HardwareShaders=0 to 1 and
VideoSetupId=17 (for Nvidia?) not 3. |
