Big problem with 4.12 and skins
 

I've just installed the 4.12 patch over a perfectly clean 4.11.1 install.
Now, for each aircraft, I essentially have one skin. For example, all Bf109s (E, G, etc) have a single skin, either winter or summer. Changing countries does not alter the markings. "Markings on" or "Markings off" makes no difference.

Can anyone explain what's up?

I don't have this problem, changing countries in the QMB I get various paint schemes, also when changing places.

It's definitely a problem which did not exist before. I can't correct it and I've reinstalled the patch.

PS: Quick combat also defaults to the Axis side, irrespective of the last mission, and to Moscow, irrespective of the last map chosen.

PPS: I've also noticed that the "default" skins have a Russian style Number 3 painted on them - all of them. On top of that, when I run the .exe to start, I also receive the "The publisher could not be verified. . ." message when I start Il-2, something which did not happen before.

The download came from the bit torrent listed here in the 4.12 patch thread. I could not download thruough Mission4Today since it required, it seems, a Mediafire account.

Mediafire isn't required to download anything from M4T.

Seems you might have an "uninvited guest" redirecting queries on your system. I'd run a scan if I were you...

TreetopP64: You are right. I mistakenly clicked on "Location" rather than Filename in M4T. However, after downloading from M4T and reinstalling the patch, nothing changed.

Post some photos of you can... that doesn't make any sense.

Here are some screenshots, although I struggled to get them here and don't know if they will show. Had to reduce image resulotion as well to attach.

Note: Default skin chosen, markings on, nationality chosen, yet. . .

Something is very much amiss.
