Il-2 doesn't detect my joystick anymore

Hi all!

I hope anyone can help, just weird problem occured yesterday. I was playing Il-2 yesterday and all went fine, then I stopped playing for couple of hours and when I runned the game again, game didn't detect my joystick anymore. So I was like ''cr*p, stick went to hell...''. Then I went to windows and checked the status in CP, everything fine, joystick detected, I could calibrate it...but not in the game.

What's strange is, is this happens only on one install of Il-2, the HSFX 6.17 version. Vanilla and UP3 install still detects my joystick and I can fly normally.

I dindn't make any changes to game or my joystick profile, none...I just exit the game and went for my buisness.

Btw, I'm using old Thrustmaster afterburner II and running Windows 7.

Just to be sure, have you checked all the possible sticks in input settings? Could also be that your game version tries to use Joystick 2 (or whatever) while only a Joystick 1 (or whatever) is configured in the ini.

Check the conf.ini file for this entry>

[rts]
joyUse=1

I have allready restarted computer, sniperton I'm not sure what do you mean by checking all the possible sticks in input settings? I can't see no profiles. THere just says none.

This are my entrys from .ini:
[rts]
;ProcessAffinityMask=1
mouseUse=2
joyUse=1
trackIRUse=0
DisableIME=1
locale=
JoyProfile=2

I have tryed different numbers (0-3) for JoyProfile, nothing so far...

Go to your other installations (the working ones) and check the same section in the corresponding ini file. Look for the mouseUse and joyUse entries, and apply those values to your non-working installation. Maybe it helps.

If it doesn't help, then your problem may be related to HSFX. It has a separate settings file, but I can't help you with it as I don't have HSFX installed. Post your problem in the mods section here or in the hsfx section at SAS1946.
