Who Knew....the Cosford museum Me-410 is technically a runner.
I had no idea but up until at least 1988 the Cosford Me-410 was started up......if only she was a flyer....imagine the sound of 2 whistling Daimlers.

That's very nice indeed. A little bit of work and it could be flying! (Compared to the amount of restoration work put into some aircraft).
I wouldn't mind a trip in the back seat. |
Brilliant find, just imagine it in the air!!!!!!! :-x

I dont think its been "run up" for years.
Mind you its a bit of a state mechanically now. |
understand what your saying Alpha, but the amount of money it takes to get certain airframes back into the air ,like the recent mossie etc im sure it would be a fraction of the re-build cost as its already there.I have no knowledge of these things apart fro a love of seeing these this fly.Im sure there would be probs with an "airframe"over 60 yrs of age taking to the skies etc but imagine it!!!
I personally would love nothing more to see a Tiffie or Tempest take to the skies:-x never gonna happen :( :( :( Cheese |
