Is there a work around for Paper for the Professor:

I have the paper for the professor; but the quest did not update; it sez I still need to get the paper from rezo. When I visit the doktor there is no option to give him the paper.

The only way to fix it is to load a save from before you accepted the quest.

Bleh; no way to do that - was huge gap between accepting and discovering the problem. Why oh why is this game so buggy :(
