help :(
hi how are you....
i have IL2 1946 the game worked fine until about a month ago.. I have a quad core q6600, and run vista 64 then all of a sudden the game won't start, i've tried reinstalling it. changed graphics card drivers... all i can think of is that there was an update for vista recently that may have caused it not to work,.... any ideas? I've checked the net for help on forums howwver they're all related to gettting the game to work in xp compatabilloity mode which i do ....:) cheers |
You'll have to give us a bit more than "it doesn't work".
Any symptoms? Sparks coming out of your computer? Any entries in the aplication log? I run Vista 64 as well, and I've never run IL-2 in application mode, it runs just fine native. |

I use free-track, Ch Products Fighterstick, Pro Pedals, Pro Throttle, X-Keys programmable keyboard. I sometimes try to run in Vista and when I start a mission it says... the mission is over, my aircraft is crashed, my pilot is dead, etc. SO...yeah, I just dual boot into XP and use the IL2 1946 from XP. There is a community help on the Ubi site and you might get help there. You'll do better there, since there are some real sharp simmers that hang there. http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/frm/f/49310655 -------------------------------------------- I should mention there are proably more Vista users hanging at the AAA site, because most of them are building new sytems and such. I'm sure you can get good advice there as well. http://allaircraftarcade.com/forum/v...c06590d58906cb Good luck |
Make sure your graphics resolution in your conf ini is correct.

the symptoms are that when i click on the start icon it won't start..
I get a message to tell me that it's not working and the desktop goes a slightly darker color ... that#s about it really |
Have you tried uninstalling Vista and throwing away the disk?
Downgrade FTW. |
