[REL] Better Backgrounds
 

Just another small mod, for those who dont like to meddle in game files.
Simply all it is, is replacement menu/loading screen images.
(The files arent compressed or encrypted or anything so you can change these images out for your own, if you so wish)

Installation

-Install Kegetys SFSMod, http://junk.kegetys.fi/il2cod_sfsmod11.zip (You dont need to use it, I think it just needs to be there)
-To install the backgrounds, simply drop the BetterBackgrounds folder into your game directory (steam example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover)
-Add -mod=BetterBackgrounds to your launch options in steam, or to your target line on a normal shortcut.

Enjoy these beautiful images as you climb through CloD's menus and wait patiently at her loading screens.

Does using this pose a problem for online and VAC etc?

Can I still play on ATAG with these backgrounds?

negative VAC was never implemented for IL2 CLOD.

This is probaly easier than I know , but how do you do this step by step ( if it hasn't been posted already:)

Are you running the TF patch? If so this wont work with it.

However, if you want to just run this mod then right click on "IL2 Cliffs of Dover" in steam, and select "Launch options", then paste "-mod=BetterBackgrounds" into the launch options text box. Hit ok and you're done.

This will only work if you have kegetys installed.

However, I recommend getting the TF patch instead as its benefits far outweigh the benefits of this mod.
