Two level bombing questions
 

1 - When level bombing in german aircrafts using bombsight automation, how do you know when bombs are released?
2 - I allowed external views, but some options do not work; one of these is "external view - armament", to follow the bombs in their descent. Is there anything else to do to activate it?

1 you dont have an indication of when the bombs start dropping, you can estimate the angle thought taking in account the alt and speed.
this little program used to work with il2 46, i dont believe that it works with clod but i really dont know

2 i dont know if i understand you correctly. if you mean changing bombsight options with external views i dont know if its possible, if you want to view your bombs dropping i suugest you record tracks and then you can see it with external views.

Bomb Sight Table dont work well with CloD in Win7 - due overlay issues, but you can use Alt+TAB to access him.

But it is not necessary in Clod since your major goal is calculate the drop angle, in CloD the bombsight do this based in Altitude and TAS informed.

So you only need a way to convert IAS to TAS... like a hand calculator(1). ;)

TAS = IAS x 0,015* x ALT/1000

*The RL "Rule of the thumb" is 0,02 (2%), but in the (partial) table showed in end of CloD manual use ~0,015 (1,5%) factor - maybe use OAT too.

Online in ATAG server you can access a "Loft Assistent" that do this for german bombers.

In the views section of the manual (pg. 23 english version) I have read about "external view - armament". I understood that it is a view connected to the armament (i.e. bombs) when they leave the aircraft, but it doesn't work.

Unfortunlately it is one of a long list of bugs with this program that will not fixed. Sorry.
