Regarding the 'Voldemort' threads that get deleted

In those threads that "that question shall not be named!" I'd guess the safest way to talk about it (and having read the rules) without causing an infraction of the rules, due to discussion of an on-topic' subject, would probably be to go to the Extended Discussion threads at Sim HQ?

Best not mention a "Voldemort" question here again!

Cheers, MP

Links to these threads pls...?

Who cares about the rules?, rules are for conformists.

When a thread that doesn't break any rule can be locked, all hell is breaking loose in the forums and certain mods are adding to it by acting in weird ways.

Why do they find it so hard to fathom that people couldn't care less?

Banning is useless, most people here can get in here again without much effort, not that they'd even want to, I find ATAG, SimHQ etc.. much more informative, helpful and friendly & minus the iron curtain.

Can't link to a thread that's been deleted.

There are rumours spreading like wildfire. Most of them are probably false, but all seem to mention one or more of the following:
  1. Luthier fired/resigning and working on a Korean War project with another company
  2. Maddox Games staff being fired/made redundant
  3. Sequel cancelled
  4. Merger/partnership between 1c and 777 studios
  5. MG staff moving to 777 studios
  6. 777 studios making a WW2 sim
  7. etc
  8. etc
  9. etc

They're just rumours. Ignore them until we get an official answer. That is why some of us are asking for an official answer.

Sadly Doggles (as you know), most threads asking for official answers.....vanish!

and then those that haven't seen them come along, ask the same question...and that thread vanishes!

What you say though and what all the previous threads have asked for, would be a simple way of stopping the threads/questions, but for some reason (maybe that famous lack of communication!) they can't get it through their thick heads that a statement (let's call it a Friday Update, as they were regular!) could nip all this in the bud.

Come on 1C/Maddox (Voldemort!!!), let's have a Friday Update!

I'm not seeing any panic over at sukhoi.ru, in fact I did not see a single post on the subject.

Several posts got deleted over the last hour or so. They were not commercially sensitive ones as such, so it looks like the recent purges are being done by local community member-mods rather than official 1c watchdogs. There is some reassurance in that.
