National Treasure was actually cool, on the other hand I've never hated a character as much as Jar Jar.

it's not really turning to the 'dark side', Lucasfilms certainly weren't going to make any more films, George Lucas is being retained as a creative director and the original films will always be available.......don't give in to hate ;)

With a bit of luck, somebody at Disney might read The Heir to the Empire trilogy of books, by Timothy Zahn.....
