power generator- where are they?
 

sorry to be a bore, but where do you find power generators in the object list, in German also please for the German generator. I'm trying to get searchlights going. I know how to do it, but cannot find power generators in the object list. I've got the latest version of cod from steam. Thanks.

Power generators can be found in Static / Environment in the Object Browser lists.

British generators: JP3 Generator 15KW

German generators: Maschinensatz 15KW or Maschinensatz 8KW

thanks, I couldn't get the searchlights to turn on, I followed the instructions. Is the kw critical? I used the german 15kw generator. I had the searchlights placed in calais. Is the location critical?

You still have to place the AI-object "Power on" and connect. This activates the AI and tells it to use the searchlights and generators within the defined circle.

are there supposed to be shafts of light? I can see the searchlights tracking and moving with aircraft sound but no shafts of light are visible. Is there a display setting required? Thanks.
