Comms with AI ingame

Hi fellas,
Sorry if this is found elsewhere but I cant find it.
The in-game communications menu is for all intents an purposes broken, right?
Is there any way to make it work since I find it utterly useless to fly single missions
offline without it!

Broken might be putting it slightly too strongly as the commands that are there 'work'- after a fashion, one that Ilya thinks is 'fine', but many/most offliners would regard as inadequate.

The formation spacing commands work and the close formation can be used to bring formation back from attacking if caught quick enough (tab-1-6-6-2-2)
then get into a favourable position( Once engaged it is difficult to recall them) Order attack with attack by viewport (tab-1-6-5-5) while looking at enemy to be attacked.

OK, but the commands for ground control is still not operational, right?
And in order to make the AI flight see me as comamnder I need to run on autopilot untill waypoint 1, correct?
To "look at the enemy" does that involve padlock or just simply looking at it with the ingame viewsystem?

Ground control- vector to home works- looks like there is a range restriction tho:grin:
Takeoff conditions gives met info
Request targets seems to work
Not sure on request for assistance- need to do some tests
Takeoff-needs auto pilot engaged briefly if wingman, ~till waypoint 1 if leader
Landing- doesn't work calling base, but if you fly around base eventually you will be called to land- leader lands last!

Look at enemy seems to work for me with tir but I do tend to get in close before giving order. Threats from other aircraft can affect behaviour.

That's my experience anyway

Great, thx for the information mate :)
Then lets see if I can get it to work for me too!
